Dave has been playing the 'New Style' of Country Music along with the more
'Traditional Country', playing Acoustic and Bass Guitars to enhance the performance,
he has secured the best backing available, and the arrangements are in his own style,
the final adjustment being made by the on-stage mixers.In the last few years Dave has developed an even greater following and in his
words "I'm amazed at the loyalty shown by those people who have let me into their
hearts".
Dave decided at this time to take his career to new heights. Going further a field by
request, into club lands older citadels, famous for the more established and well known artists. Dave was rewarded for his efforts by being voted 'Best Newcomer in
Club Land' in 1999. Dave was nominated for 'Best Country Act' in 2000 and in
2001 was been nominated for "F.C. Blamer's Artist Award", this being an award for
the Top Artiste in the Yorkshire Area. Dave was also given 'Best Solo Country Artist
Award' at the "Young Guns Western Association". In July 2001 Dave was voted for the
top award of 'Best Country Artist' and 'Best Album' in Germany's Country Classic News.
In The past three years Dave has performed his style of Country Music to well over
One Million People, his live performances are based on Country Music, but has the
addition of songs that were not intended to be Country, but has that special Dave West
Junior. arrangement that brings them into the Country Sound. Dave's shows bring out
that 'One to One' rapport with the audience that has become a trademark of the
performance, even before the show begins you can see Dave at the back of the
venue, wondering how he can make this person in this seat part of his show. Dave
likes to get involved with all aspects, including stage sets, lighting and sound.
Dave always insists on 'Meeting' his audience during the intervals and at the end
of the evening, you can always find him signing albums and photographs, he will
always find time especially for the younger members as he knows these are the future
for Country Music, Dave is considered the 'Pied Piper' in Country Music circles, this
can be seen by parents as he takes time out to speak to the children.
Dave's spontaneity on stage makes every show different and his followers have
noticed this. Fun and laughter apart, Dave gives 110% energy, vigour and vitality
100% of the time. As Dave says, "One Day in the Game, is Worth a Million Memories".
